Pole Bending
Information and Videos

Pole bending is a timed rodeo event where horse and rider must weave through six poles in a serpentine pattern. They are 21 feet apart, 6 feet high and are placed above ground on a base measuring not more than 14 inches in diameter. A five second penalty is incurred if one is knocked over and a rider will be disqualified if they go off course. A rider may be disqualified if the judge decides that the rider uses a bat, crop, whip, or rope in excess.

Here is a great video of the Little Wranglers competition in the 5-7 year old division. Truly excellent little riders!
