My horse Toby and I at a show from a few weeks ago:)

Toby:)

Toby:)

Toby is a 10 year old gelding that my trainer and I adopted when he was 6 and I was 9. He was untrained and nobody expected anything from him when they looked at him. When some people looked at him, all they saw was a half-starved rescue pony. When I looked at him, I saw a beautiful black horse that I knew would become a champion. I see that same beautiful horse everyday and my love for him just keeps growing. At his first show, my trainers son and I rode him in different classes. He bucked and ripped and bolted the fences. But on his second show and pretty much every show after, he was the gentelmen I knew he could be and was champion with me! He is champion with every one who rides him and you would never guess he is a rescue. He taught me so much and I trained him, so I've taught him to. I love to get project horses (I want to be a horse trainer when I grow up) and bond with horses, and I always do, especially with Toby. Whenever I walked up to him in his stall he whinnys to me, and when in his pasture him and his buddies trot to me for treats. :) We've both grown and learned a lot, as I have other horses too, but I still ride and show him (as well as other horses) and our bond will never end.
