Hunter Hack Information and Videos
Hunter Hack is a type of English riding that falls between hunter under saddle (on the flat) and working hunter classes (tall jumps). The horse and rider must perform at the walk, trot, canter, hand gallop and jump two small fences. Judging is based on manners, gait, conformation, and ability to jump over the center of the fence with an even arc and stride.
Points are taken off for the following:
Slowness or too much speed
Failing to take a gait or breaking gait
Head being to high or low
Rider being on the wrong diagonal when trotting
Wrong lead at the canter
Stumbling
Flexing behind the vertical or nosing out
